The Amoeba sailed

On a fine sunny day a bunch of brave British car owners set out for Baddeck to sail the inland sea. The tilt of the deck and wind in the rigging told us we were at sea and at risk. As we rounded the Kidston Island and bore down on Ben Breagh all aboard stood to the guns as shore batteries fired upon us. OK, an eagle flew by and another was spotted in a tree. But the trip had it’s moments. The blare of an air horn brought a wave from a wharf full of residents and a few sea tales were shared by those who had been in deeper waters.
