Twas three weeks before Christmas and all through Carol’s house,

BCCCB members were active and making the most

Of light hearted banter, good food and some drink

While visions of new adventures they were starting to think.

Of new parts from afar and comrardery near

They know it is coming, another great year.

So let’s get the party started!!

The annual BCCCB Christmas was hosted again at Carol and Craig Millers’ beautiful home.  As usual there was lots of great food and good times and tall tales.

I’m not sure what he was thinking, but our Treasurer and electrical guru, Brian MacKeigan is grinning about something.  Could it be the story behind the shirt he is wearing???  Francis Boudreau is decked out with his festive tie and MG ball cap.

In true Cape Breton style the party centered in the kitchen.  This is not necessarily where the real food was located.  It looks like that’s where the booze could be found.

People were everywhere in the house, upstairs and down.

I wonder what tale Barc is telling that has captured Susan English and Paul Voynovich’s attention?  It must be a great one because they sure look captivated.

Then there was the call to eat…

Ah yes, The Food!!  Once again there was plenty to go around.  Everything from chicken, meatballs, cabbage rolls, lasagna, pulled pork and lots of salads.  And my personal favorite, cakes & squares.

Eat up everyone…It’s just four weeks to New Years’ resolutions!!!

Every summer we have an auction at our annual lobster fest…another eating event of the most delicious kind.  We raise money to buy prizes which are given away at the Christmas party.  The chosen,  this year selected by a most esteemed pair of specially appointed members, Barc Cunningham and Don Peters(me), were surprised by our generosity.

Good ole Santa could not make it, I forgot the suit.  His appointed representative Elf Bill, not to be confused with Viking Bill or Yetti Bill or any other Bill who auctions stuff at our parties, stepped up to the plate.  As you can see he is mocking me as only an elf can.  It’s pretty bad when you are mocked by an elf…

A great time was had by everyone and we folded up our tents around midnight.  Not bad for a bunch of old fogies who are usually in bed before the National is over.  It was a great year in 2014 and with plans for Stowe and Gettysburg and maybe Niagara Falls being talked about,  2015  is shaping up to be another great BCCCB adventure.  As we always say, If you weren’t here, you missed it.  So come around and join us in 2015.

Merry Christmas to all and a very Happy New Year.

P.S.  Have a great trip Barc…
